Site Analysis

Howard Smith Wharves Mind Map
There are many different challenges and strengths associated with the howard smith wharves. It is a culturally and historically significant site for Brisbane. It is also one of the last sites left undeveloped on the river. It is surrounded by a diverse context and geographical layout.
The site is in a predominantly residential area of the river, however it would be accessed by a large demographic of users including residents, school students and office workers.  Due to its historical significance the wharves are quite industrial and derelict in a mostly modern surrounding.
